With this project, our clients had quite literally found diamond in the rough.
Rough because the home had suffered through many years of badly-executed additions, but a diamond in that it was a property with an enviable location, simply dripping in West Coast charm and the potential for incredible living.
Impeccably re-designed by Fred Muller from Krige & Muller Architects, we had the opportunity to manage this project. Our team did a fantastic job of gutting the property and starting with a clean slate to build something truly remarkable.
Our role in this project was significant and every room in the house had a fresh new piece of joinery added. The Niemann kitchen was designed from the ground up as the crown jewel of the home, with views across the lounge through to the ocean, along with views into the newly-created wine cellar currently housing 600 bottles of red and white.
For us, the main bedroom was the feature piece of this build, as it is a self-contained sanctuary away from the ground level. It has been decorated tastefully with whites, greys and our favourite touch is the fresh Metro textured boards that make this space so inviting.
This was a great project on which to flex our creative muscles, and though we were met with daily challenges, the end result more than justifies the effort!
